The organization has been working towards the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden people from years and has been achieving its goals.
We, at Jewel, believe that providing the best education to the poor children who are deprived of it, is the best way to eradicate poverty. We have set up a number of tuition centers for underprivileged children where they are provided with free primary education and basic amenities like water and electricity.
We also give free scholarship to deserving students every year and arrange for their school uniforms, books, stationary items etc. Moreover, we provide free medical facilities to all our students.
Health and sanitation are two sides of the same coin. Sanitation is one of the major factors that contribute to good health. We at Jothi Educational & Welfare Trust believe that it is our responsibility to make people aware of the importance of maintaining a clean surrounding which will, in turn, help them lead a healthy life.
Maintaining cleanliness is extremely important as it helps in preventing many diseases caused due to contaminated water and dirty surroundings. But more than 50% of our countrymen are still unaware of its importance and live in unhygienic conditions which not only ruins their health but also affects their families adversely.
Nutrition plays a crucial role in the growth and development of children. When children are given proper nutrition, they are less likely to be sick and will learn better at school.
Every child has the right to a nutritious diet but sadly, many children countrywide do not have access to proper nutrition because of poverty.
This is where Jothi Educational & Welfare Trust (JEWEL) comes in. They create a platform for people who want to support children’s education by providing them with the materials and tools needed for their learning.
Jothi Educational & Welfare Trust believe that all people deserve the opportunity to improve their lives; therefore, we provide vocational training to women, school dropouts and unemployed youth.
With our help, they can learn how to make a living for themselves by learning a skill or trade. Our mission is to empower these individuals by equipping them with the knowledge they need to achieve success.
Since the start of 2020 JEWEL engaged in COVID19 relief work through the supply of food items to the families who lost their livelihoods due to lockdown.
We have started various new initiatives as part of our Covid -19 Relief work. We have provided a two months ration kit containing rice, wheat, oil, pulses and salt for direct consumption to 5000 people from 1000 families
Our Advisory Council, which assists the Board in setting JEWEL policies and designing our programs, includes representatives from all around India.
