Jothi Educational & Welfare Trust(JEWEL) has framed a refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for donation refunds.
JEWEL takes utmost care to process your donations as per the instructions given by you. Donations once made cannot be refunded by us since they’re immediately put to work for the mentioned cause.
However in case technical issues that may have occurred at your end while donating online, like a double debit or incorrect amount entered, we will process the refund if you bring the problem to our attention within 2 days of making the donation.
The written request stating reason for requesting refund must be sent to the address stated below and must contain all the following details pertaining to the donation:
- Date of donation
- Donation amount
- If donation was made through Cheque/Draft, Cheque/Draft no to be mentioned.
- If donation was made online through Credit or Debit Cards, Card no to be mentioned (last 6 digits only) along with Transaction ID.
- If donation was made online by other means, Transaction ID to be mentioned.
If you’ve already been issued a donation receipt, please ensure that you return the original receipt to our office address as well, for your donation refund to be processed.
We will respond to refund requests within 7 days, provided all the correct details are shared. Domestic refunds would take 15 days and International refunds would take 30days from the date of receipt of the request.
All donation refunds would only be made in the name of the person who has made the donation.
Please note that if your tax exemption certificate is already issued, we’d be unable to process your refund request unless it is asked for on the grounds of any error made on JEWEL’s part.
